What CognioNews Is / Isn’t
- Is: Decision-support signal intake + enrichment testbed using CognioEngine lenses.
- Isn’t: A truth oracle or legal/medical/financial advice; no personalised targeting.
Source Policy (summary)
- In-scope: named outlets/authors with verifiable URLs/dates; primary documents; official data; on-record statements.
- Out-of-scope unless corroborated: anonymous social; AI-only content; propaganda without counter-sourcing.
- Contested claims need 2+ independent confirmations or a clear “unverified” label. Corrections are logged and republished.
Provenance & Corrections
- Every item has a ledger entry: source, timestamp, transformations, lens trace, outputs.
- Corrections: timestamped, reasoned, and noted on affected outputs.
Evaluation Protocol
- Baseline vs enriched on identical inputs; blinded human ratings.
- Metrics: lead time, narrative divergence, decision utility (0–5), FP/FN (after adjudication), interpretability.
- Adjudication windows (e.g., 30/90 days) to validate early warnings.
Governance Roles
- Editorial Board: Kenny (chair), Pham (ops), Rosemary (observer) — publish/corrections.
- Evaluation Board: Pham (metrics), Rosemary (audit), Kenny (arbiter) — metrics/baselines/adjudication.
- Ethics/Community: Rosemary (representation), Kenny (harm checks).
Responsible Use
- No personalised targeting; avoid harm to vulnerable groups; no PII/doxxing.
